A dynamic an captivating trio with one foot in West Africa and the other in an array of improvised traditions including jazz and Middle Eastern music. Students can expect engaging descriptions of such indigenous West-African instruments such as the balafon,dun-dun, kora, djun-djuns, diembe, shekere and bells in addition to alto flute, melodica and voice. Members of the ensemble are all highly experienced teachers/clinicians and will guide the students through the fascinating musical, stylistic and cultural origins of the music.
